<p>Mais je ne renonce pas au projet concernant la N.R.F. Il n’est ni trop tôt, ni trop tard. Il s’agit d’un long travail, qui nécessitera pas mal de recherches, et une mise au point minutieuse. En outre il faut profiter de la présence de certains des premiers fondateurs et des plus illustres écrivains de la maison. On pourrait ainsi réunir une documentation irremplaçable : témoignages, souvenirs portant sur des faits précis.</p>

<div>je ne conçois pas la chose autrement que comme un travail d’équipe – au moins un an de recherches et de travaux préliminaires. Nous enregistrerions, pour commencer, après avoir tracé les grandes lignes, des éléments qui seraient ensuite ordonnés dans le cadre de chaque émission.
<p>Je vous revois toujours avec une émotion qui me surprend. La lecture du cahier de Joë Bousquet m’a profondément touché ; plus parce qu’elle révèle sur Jean Paulhan que sur Bousquet.</p>
<p>Je tiens <hi rend="u">beaucoup</hi> au projet NRF.</p>
