With reference to M. Leonce Benedite’s letter of 6th inst., we beg to hand you herewith a sight draft for the amount of Fcs. 127,000.00 being the cost of four (4) Paintings by Ernest Laurent and 1 (one) Marble Group by Rodin, which you acquired for account of Mr. Matsukata. The draft is made payable to you, as requested by him in his letter. We shall be much obliged if you will please send us, per return, the receipt of the remittance in Duplicate as before.
