Dear Madam,

Referring to our letter of 20th ult., re the above, we beg to draw to your attention that more than a fortnight has since elapsed without hearing anything from you about our Remittance by a Sight Draft, which was made payable to our goodselves in compliance with M. Leonce Benedite’s requiest in his letter of the 6th ult. The amount of Frcs. 127,000 being the cost of four Paintings and one Marble Group, which you kindly acquired for account of Mr. Matsukata.

We shall be very much obliged if you will send us the receipt of the Remittance in Duplicate at your earliest convenience.
