Dear Sir,

We have been instructed by Mr. Takahata, our Manager, to remit you Fcs. 101,000 – on account of Mr. Matsukata.

As you will see, the Francs Exchange has been moving for these few weeks very unfavourably against us on account of Germany being in the market for purchases of Francs for reparation account, and it is the worst moment for us to fix the exchange.

Under the circumstances we should like the delay the remittance a few days or even a week, with your permission, within the course of which we firmly believe the exchange will improve considerably.

Trusting this will meet with approval,

Yours faithfully
