Dear Sir,
We are in receipt of your letter of 12th July and regret to note that we caused you misapprehension in regard to the delayed payment of 22,000 frs. We beg to inform you that owing to our accountant in the Finance Department having received from the Translation Department a copy of your certificate written in French and the translator having omitted to attach your letter in English, the Finance Department simply kept this certificate until it was pointed out by your letter of 12th July. Upon receipt of your letter yesterday we telegraphed you apologizing for the mistake causing the delayed remittance. We are sending you today 22 000 Frs. as requested and hope the matter will be in order.
As you know, sometimes a mistake of this nature happens; however we shall try not to repeat such mistake and strict instructions have been given to our Department.
Regretting the circumstances,
We are, dear Sir,
Yours faithfully
