Dear Mr. Bénédite,

I beg to confirm the order I passed you for reproduction of Rodin’s works, which are to be placed in a Galery that I expect to open publicly at Tokyo.

These works are mentioned in the Catalogue I handed you. I accept the prices marked with reduction of 10% on the total amount the order.

Kindly proceed with the founding of the works at once. I shall, nevertheless, ask you to keep them at the hôtel till the end of the war.

As regards settlement, I agree to make you an advance of 60 000 francs in order to pay the first expenses of reprodpuction.

I shall, then, settle the price of each work at the time of its execution, which you will please let me know by letter. The latter will be considered by me as a certificate of deposition and, consequently, as a title of propriety.
