M. Emile Zola
Paris, France
Dear Sir,

Will you please to be so kind as to send me your autograph on the enclosed postal card, these is no more portage required. In my collection of autograph letters I have such as Hugo, the Dumas, Napoleon (the first), Sardou, etc. I should like to receive a letter from you, would it therefor be asking too much if you could give me the name of one or two of the leadily books on the history of French literature. Do not the French crities think that American and English literature is most decided on the downgrade ? What is your opinion ? Thanking you in advance for your kindness.
I remain,
Yours truly,
E. H. Frost.
