Exhibition presentation

In-situ exhibition exhibition featuring film posters created by Roger Soubie. This tribute to the work of this long-standing poster artist, who initially worked in transport and magazine covers, highlights his distinctive qualities: the quality of his highly realistic portraits, the power of his compositions, etc. Soubie mainly worked on posters for American films, hence the nickname given to him by René Péron. The Cinémathèque de Toulouse has several hundred of Soubie's posters in its collection and has worked on several occasions to showcase his work: the Miroirs exhibition (1983) and issue no. 16 of the magazine Archives, compiled by Raymond Borde in 1988. The exhibition is located in the lobby of the Cinémathèque de Toulouse.
