To create his new edition, Jean Baudoin took inspiration from the 1612 edition translated by Jean de Montlyard and published with Paul Frellon.
Baudoin kept the margin notes which act as titles for the paragraphs, sometimes as commentaries. Nonetheless, he added a summary to each book.

Mythology is comprised of a dedication letter addressed to Charles de Créquy, a preface and, at the end of the volume, an index entitled “Table of Contents”.

Baudoin completed the work with Les Recherches touchant la Mythologie divisées en IIII. Traictez; recueillis des Anciens Autheurs. Opening with a caveat to the reader, this research is made up of a treatise devoted to the Muses and to their genealogy, translated from Lilio Gregorio Giraldi; the Observations curieuses sur divers sujets de la Mythologie taken from Hyginus, the Explication Physique et Morale, des Principalles allegories des Poetes, Prise de Phornutus, Autheur Grec; and an Abbregé des Images des Dieux, taken from the philosopher Albricus.
These treatises are a partial introduction to a collection of texts devoted to the mythology published for the first time in Paris in 1578, regrouping books by Hyginus, Giraldi, Apollodorus, Aratus and Fulgentius as well as Cornutus.
