M. Emile Zola,
Paris, France.
Dear Sir :
As a lover of liberty and justice I desire to convey to you my most hearty congratulations for the successful termination of the stand you took in righting the rankest injustice that was done to your fellow citizens (sic), Captain Dreyfus. The People of France should take their hat off to you. You have shown the world that Truth and Justice must prevail against all odds and as a lover of your country, of liberty and justice you stood up to teach them a lesson which if it went untaught would have been the downfall of the Republic of France.
I have the honor to be your most obedient servant.
